Placement pipeline, not promises
Built by working DJs for working DJs. Every module connects back to the skills you'll need on an actual gig — not in a classroom.
Building sets that work for the room — not just playlists you like. Understanding genre flow, energy arcs, request management, and reading what a crowd actually wants vs. what they say they want.
The skill that separates working DJs from bedroom DJs. How to identify the energy in a room, adapt in real time, recover from dips, and keep a floor moving for 4+ hours.
Beatmatching, phrase mixing, EQ transitions, layering, acapella drops, and blending across genres. Taught on industry-standard equipment — Pioneer CDJs and DDJ setups.
How to price yourself, handle contracts, communicate with clients and venues, build a book of business, and turn one gig into ten. The industry side most programs skip entirely.
Building a DJ identity that books gigs. Social presence, DJ name, press kit, demo mix strategy, and how to position yourself in a market where everyone says they're a DJ.
How to get into rooms — venue managers, event coordinators, wedding planners, club promoters. Industry contacts are built, not bought. We show you the playbook.
A structured pipeline from zero to gigs. No guesswork — just the steps that actually work.
Tell us where you're starting from — beginner, hobbyist, or working DJ looking to level up. No experience required. We assess your commitment, not your resume. Application takes 5 minutes.
Work through the Foxtality curriculum with hands-on instruction from active DJs. Mix sessions, live feedback, performance evaluations, and real gig simulations. We don't teach theory — we teach what works at 10pm when the floor is empty.
Graduates who hit our performance benchmarks get considered for the Foxtality roster and access to our booking pipeline — weddings, corporate events, club nights, and private parties across PA/NJ/NY and expansion markets.
Whether you're starting from nothing or trying to turn a side hustle into something serious — there's a path here for you.
Never touched a DJ setup? That's fine. We start from fundamentals and build up. What matters is that you want it badly enough to put in the work. The industry doesn't care about your starting point — only where you end up.
9-5 isn't working for you. You want nights, energy, crowds, and a career you built yourself. DJing is a real profession with real income potential — especially when you have a placement pipeline behind you, not just YouTube tutorials.
You're playing gigs but you're stuck — same venues, same rates, same ceiling. The Foxtality Academy expands your market reach, sharpens your craft, and opens the booking pipeline to larger events in new markets.
Not looking to DJ, but want to build a career in the entertainment industry? Foxtality also trains for entertainment sales and talent placement roles — the business side of the industry that makes everything run.
Josh Fox built his career in the PA/NJ corridor the hard way — grinding through weddings, corporate gigs, club nights, and private events long before Foxtality existed. Cris Cab brought the music industry perspective: what it actually takes to build a career, develop talent, and place people into real opportunities.
They founded Foxtality because the industry didn't have a real pipeline for developing talent and getting them paid. Every DJ training program they'd seen taught technique and stopped there. That's not enough.
The Academy is the pipeline they wish had existed when they were coming up. It's not just education — it's access.
Not retired DJs, not music teachers. People who played last weekend and have a gig next week. The curriculum is updated constantly because the industry changes constantly.
Graduates don't graduate into the void. They graduate into a placement pipeline with real event bookings waiting to be filled. There's no equivalent of this at any other DJ training program we're aware of.
A Lehigh Valley wedding DJ and a NYC club DJ need different skills. We train you for your market — where you want to work, what venues you'll be playing, and what clients you'll serve.
Most programs stop at technical skill. We go further: pricing, contracts, client communication, social presence, and how to build a book of business that sustains a career long-term.
Our primary market is the tri-state corridor we know best. Placements happen here first — weddings, corporate events, club nights, and private parties across a dense, active market.
Expansion markets are actively building roster capacity. If you're in FL, TX, NC, or DC and want to be on the ground floor in your market — apply now.
No prior experience required. We accept complete beginners, hobbyists, and working DJs looking to level up. What matters is commitment and drive. If you're willing to put in the work, we'll give you the tools and the pathway.
Song selection, crowd reading, mixing techniques, beatmatching, transitions, live performance skills, business development, personal branding, and networking. The curriculum is built around real-world gigs — not abstract theory. If you won't use it on stage, we don't spend time on it.
We don't make promises we can't keep. What we offer is a genuine pathway: graduates who complete training and meet our performance standards are considered for the Foxtality roster and get access to our booking pipeline. Your work ethic determines your outcome — we provide the infrastructure.
Our home base is the PA/NJ/NY corridor — Lehigh Valley, Philadelphia, New York City, Northern New Jersey, and the Poconos. We're actively expanding into Florida, Texas, North Carolina, and DC. When you apply, tell us your preferred market and we'll factor that into placement.
Program length depends on your starting point and pace. Most trainees complete the core curriculum in 6 to 12 weeks. We're flexible — this isn't a rigid classroom. After core training, placement prep and mentorship continue until you're ready for real gigs.
Josh Fox and Cris Cab are the co-founders of Foxtality. Josh built his career in the PA/NJ corridor from the ground up — events, weddings, club nights, corporate gigs. Cris Cab brought the music industry and business development side. They built Foxtality because the industry had no real pipeline for developing talent and placing them properly. The Academy is that pipeline.
